Embroidered Pillowcase

I was watching Frida the other day, and I was totally inspired by the pillows she has in the film. I decided I needed to have my own.

I have been trying to keep up with the folks who participate in the Stitchalongs with Feeling Stitchy, and I finished just in time for the June Stitchalong.

I got the bird-heart embroidery pattern from Andrea Zuill over at Bad Birds. The tulip heart garland on the top right and left corners, and the rose at the bottom are from different patterns I have purchased from Sublime Stitching. The rest I free-handed.

Now to make the Buenas Noches case to go with this one.

That is so adorable! I wish I could stitch prettily like that. Definitely a pair would be wonderful!

These are lovely! I wish I was more crafty, but I always get lazy with projects.
